Online Reflash

Preparation

  1. Google Chrome.
  2. TKG Chrome App (install from Chrome Web Store). TKG Chrome App
  3. Layout data generated in previous Generate Layout step.

Reflash layout

Steps:

  1. Open tkg.io in your browser. Choose keyboard RedScarfII+ (Note: NOT RedScarfII). tkg.io
  2. Paste your layout data and configure other settings. If there is no problem, buttons on the bottom will turn green.
  3. Put your keyboard into Reflash EEPROM Mode. If successful, you will see keyboard recognized as "RedScarf HID EEPROM" in the dropdown menu of burn button. RedScarf HID EEPROM recognized
  4. Click "Burn .eep file" button. A progress bar will show up. The keyboard will work with the new layout immediately after it shows "Completed". Progress completed

Reflash firmware

Steps:

  1. Open tkg.io in your browser. Choose keyboard RedScarfII+ (Note: NOT RedScarfII).
  2. Put your keyboard into Reflash FLASH Mode. If successful, you will see keyboard recognized as "RedScarf HID FLASH" in the dropdown menu of burn button. RedScarf HID FLASH recognized
  3. Hold down Shift key1, then the label of burn button will change to "Burn .hex file".
  4. Click "Burn .hex file" button. A progress bar will show up. The keyboard will work with the new firmware immediately after it shows "Completed".
    1. Press Shift key on other connected keyboard rather than Red Scarf II+ itself. ↩
