Built-in Layout
Red Scarf II+ is shipped with several typical layouts built-in. To switch between built-in layouts, you don't need any external software or hardware tools.
Switch built-in layouts
For instance, Ver.B and Ver.C contain the following built-in layouts.
The figure shows some keys in different colors. Let's name the colored number keys in the first row as "magic key". By default, the white keys are active and the colored keys except "magic key" are inactive. To activate them, you should press the corresponded "magic key(s)" which has the same color by following the steps below.
Steps:
- Remove the USB cable.
- Hold down
Space
key and the magic key(s) simultaneously. - Plug the USB cable.
- Keep the keys holding down until 30 seconds have elapsed (or until keyboard began to send some keys out).
The following table is a summary of the mapping between "magic key" and the activated keys.

Reset to default layout
If you want to reset the layout to default (inactive all colored keys), please follow the steps below.
Steps:
- Remove the USB cable.
- Hold down
Space
key andBackspace
key simultaneously. - Plug the USB cable.
- Keep the keys holding down until 30 seconds have elapsed (or until keyboard began to send some keys out).
